Farm Jobs Vacancy in Tobacco Set of working responsibilities
- The job involves planting, cultivating, and irrigating crops according to schedule.
- Requires knowledge and ability to operate farm machinery and equipment
Will be responsible for harvesting crops.
- Sow seeds in beds covered with cloth or glass to protect them from wind and rain.
- Once the seeds have grown into small plants, they are transplanted into the field.
- Netting the tobacco fields to protect them from sun and insects.
- Perform manual and mechanical operations related to tobacco, hay, and straw production in fields, barns, and curing stations.
- You will be required to inspect planted crops for proper growth and address any problems.
- You will check the standards of the crops and discard those that do not meet the standards.
- You will also be responsible for repairing and maintaining farm equipment.
- You will be required to monitor irrigation and soil moisture according to crop requirements.
- You will be expected to report crop progress to the farm manager on a regular basis.
- Clean and maintain irrigation canals.
- You will be required to direct and monitor the work of casual and seasonal workers during planting and harvesting.
- Responsible for keeping the farm clean.
- Must be up-to-date on pests and diseases.
- Answerable for identifying sickness and medical issues in yields, domesticated animals, and poultry.
- Will be responsible for protecting crops from weeds and pests by applying pesticides and other appropriate treatments.
- Ensure uninterrupted water supply to the farm.
- Provide daily reports on the progress of farm operations.
- Keeping records of pesticide use and yields.
- All packing and stacking work will be done in the field and on the farm.
- Must use both hands to remove dried leaf debris from the crop.
- Must inspect product quality and prepare for market.
