Safety Compliance: Promptly address any cleaning needs that may be a safety concern, such as cleaning up spills to prevent slips or removing obstructions from aisles. Keep store safety protocols updated and ensure that cleaning chemicals are properly used and stored.

The Cleaner performs a variety of custodial duties under the supervision of the Custodial Manager or Supervisor. Such duties must also follow established standards, instructions, and procedures.
JOB DESCRIPTION TYPICAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: sweeps, mops, and cleans floors and other surfaces (in buildings). Uses light weight (commercial) floor (buffer) and shampoo machines, including attachments. Vacuum carpets in offices and public areas.
Spot clean carpets daily and shampoo if indicated. Clean and dust furniture, display cases, paintings, chairs, door trim, light fixtures, and all other horizontal surfaces. Wash window frames, interior doors, partitions, and glass in designated windows. Wash glass and trim (interior and exterior) of entry doors daily.
Clean restrooms and replenish supplies daily. Standard bathroom procedures include wiping glass surfaces with water, emptying trash cans, servicing soap and toilet paper dispensers, dusting thresholds, cleaning tile walls, shelves, stall partitions, and sweeping/mopping/scrubbing floors.
Screen and report to manager any potential issues, for example, stopped up urinals, lights out, and so on.Gathers building garbage day to day, places in supported holders, places in assigned assortment region, and afterward eliminates. Supplant garbage bins and garbage can liners as per determinations.
Sweep or shovel snow from building entrance stairs, walkways, and connecting walkways/sidewalks as directed. Perform routine tasks: dusting, polishing leather and wood surfaces, washing walls. Pass a background check, including criminal history. Other duties as directed.
REQUIREMENTS:
- No experience necessary as long as you can perform basic janitorial duties.
