Job Description
- Troubleshooting and fine tuning of equipment
- Weigh tars, colorants, and different synthetics as indicated by recipes
- Monitor and inspect quality of materials produced
- Placing weighed materials into mixing machines
- Packing for shipping and distribution
- Set up and work calendering machines to deal with plastic bunches or pieces into consistent sheets or movies of determined thickness
- Adjust calender rollers for production line changes
- Computer numerical control (CNC) machines
- Organize and maintain inventory
- Set up and adjust processing and packaging machinery
- Correct and adjust machinery
- Operate machines to process, bag, box, and otherwise package food products
- Notice measures, PC printouts, and video screens to confirm indicated handling conditions
- Adjust process variables.
- Keep up with shift logs of creation and different information
- Reports machine malfunctions and product anomalies to supervisor
- Clean machine and work area.
- Check products for defects and ensure compliance with company standards

Job Description/Position Description.
The Production Supervisor is responsible for leading the manufacturing process to maximize production line capacity and ensure fill rates are achieved for customer orders.
Implement daily and weekly production schedules to achieve productivity KPIs (kg/l-hr, throughput) and quality. Contribute to lean manufacturing projects and meet improvement targets on time.
Daily Tasks
Responsible for maintaining product quality, scheduling and assigning employees, setting priorities, revising schedules, and resolving problems.
Supervise production employees, achieve production goals, review and implement manufacturing procedures, and supervise shipping and receiving in accordance with applicable laws (e.g., Consumer Packaging and Labeling Act, Weights and Measures Act).
Take initiative and use timely and appropriate judgment in making day-to-day operational decisions.
Maintain a safe work environment by training and instructing employees in the use of equipment and resources while maintaining compliance with OHSA, JHSC recommendations or MOL work orders, company safety regulations, GMP, and HACCP (including documentation).
Reduce and Eliminate Workplace Injuries Assist in conducting accident investigations and play an active role in WSIB case management to return injured workers to corrective or productive work quickly and safely.
Develops, mentors, manages, trains, and motivates employees by communicating job expectations, evaluating job performance, coaching, counseling, and providing timely discipline.
Maintain good employee relations through effective communication with co-workers, employees, and managers.
Administer collective agreements and other company policies and procedures
Prepare payroll and time and attendance records for department employees using KRONOS

About you.
- 3-5 years of experience as a line leader, team leader, or supervisor in a food manufacturing environment.
- Experience working with machinery and processes in a meat production environment is a plus.
- Ability to communicate with SR stakeholders (production managers, plant managers).
- Knowledge of HACCP and state health and safety regulations.
